Purchase Terms

The starting price is based on our market valuation of the items and serves only as a guideline for the buyer. Therefore, the final price may be significantly higher or lower than the starting price. Bidding occurs in the auction room with clear signals via a raised bidding paddle, and we apply increases as follows:

- SEK 100 to 2,000: increase 100

- SEK 2,000 to 5,000: increase 200

- SEK 5,000 to 10,000: increase 500

- SEK 10,000: increase 1,000

The following bidding increments are used for Web and absentee auctions:

- SEK 0 to 50: increase 5

- SEK 50 to 500: increase 10

- SEK 500 to 1,000: increase 50

- SEK 1,000 to 2,000: increase 100

- SEK 2,000 to 5,000: increase 200

- SEK 5,000 to 10,000: increase 500

- from SEK 10,000: increase 1,000

The buyer is the one who has placed the highest bid. In the case of equal bids or ambiguities that may arise during bidding, the auctioneer alone decides which bid will lead to a sale. A buyer's premium of 22.5% including VAT, as well as a hammer fee of SEK 40 including VAT, will be added to each auction lot that is sold. LP FOTO AUKTIONER / Stockholms Foto & Specialauktioner AB (LP FOTO) also undertakes to provide written bidding instructions at no cost, aiming for the best possible price for the buyer. Written bids must be received by us no later than the day before the auction. In the event of equal bids, the first submitted bid will apply. It is the responsibility of the bidder to verify that the bidding instruction has resulted in a purchase. LP FOTO is not responsible for errors that may arise from unclear or incomplete bidding instructions. Late or illegible bids will not be considered. A preliminary final price list is available on our website www.lpfoto.se the evening after the auction.

BIDDING BY PHONE

Customers residing outside Stockholm who wish to bid by phone must submit a written request to LP FOTO no later than the working day before the auction. Normally, some form of reference is required. The request should specify which item(s) the bidding will concern and the phone number where the customer can be reached during the bidding. The bidder agrees to be prepared to bid at least up to the lower starting price. We cannot accept phone bids on items with starting prices lower than SEK 8,000-10,000. When the bidding approaches the item the customer wishes to bid on, a representative from LP FOTO will call directly from the auction hall. The customer places their bids through the representative. This service is limited by the number of available phone lines and is offered as an option. Subsequent transportation purchases to another buyer are not accepted.

COLLECTION

Items purchased in the auction room can be collected and paid for at our location at Tulegatan 39, Stockholm, approximately one hour after the auction ends, or no later than five working days after the auction. After this, a fee of SEK 30 per auction lot and calendar day will apply.

PAYMENT OVER THE COUNTER

Payment can be made by credit card or SWISH after the auction ends or no later than five working days after the purchase. We do not accept Euro checks or foreign checks.

PAYMENT OF BID INSTRUCTIONS

Unless otherwise agreed with the buyer, we send items purchased via written bid or phone with cash on delivery, where the buyer commits to promptly redeem the shipment. Shipping, packaging, handling, and any insurance costs will be charged at cost price. All items are sold in their current condition. Therefore, it is important for the buyer to carefully examine the items they are interested in during the viewing. Any hidden defects in the items must be reported immediately after the buyer discovers the defects, but no later than ten days after the auction. LP FOTO's liability for defects is limited to what is stated in these purchase terms. LP FOTO is not responsible for any errors or deficiencies in lists and catalogs unless incorrect information has been provided through gross negligence. LP FOTO has the right to remedy any defects in sold items for which LP FOTO is responsible within a reasonable time. Otherwise, the buyer has the right to rescind the purchase. Upon the return of the purchased item, the amount the buyer paid to LP FOTO will be refunded. The buyer is not entitled to any additional compensation. All transportation to and from LP FOTO is at the buyer's expense and risk. In case of delivery delays caused by circumstances for which LP FOTO is responsible exceeding twenty working days, the buyer has the right to rescind the purchase by sending a written notice to LP FOTO. The buyer has the right to receive a refund of any purchase price paid. The buyer is not entitled to any additional compensation. For guidance, we have classified the appearance of the items as accurately as possible.

AA: New in unopened original packaging

A: Like new

B: Very good condition

C: Normal condition

D: Poor condition

E: Very poor condition

For the greatest accuracy, we may also use two letters:

BA: Very good condition, almost like new.

However, we do not assess faults in optical and mechanical functions that normally occur in older items after prolonged inactivity or frequent use. Complete scale from AA to E: AA, A, AB, BA, B, BC, CB, C, CD, DC, D, E.

All bids are binding, and LP FOTO also reserves the right to suspend certain bidders from the auction without justification. LP FOTO reserves the right, without prior notice and under special circumstances, to exclude individual auction lots from the auction. Bidders must also agree in writing to the auction terms in all respects as stated above.

FORCE MAJEURE

LP FOTO is exempt from liability for any losses or other inconveniences that may affect the buyer if the auction is canceled due to war, war-like events, civil war, uprising, natural disasters, labor market conflicts, or similar circumstances that LP FOTO cannot control or influence. Disputes concerning purchases at auction or these purchase terms at LP FOTO shall be resolved according to Swedish law in a court in Sweden.
