LP FOTO AUCTIONS has been Scandinavia's only and leading auction house since 1995, specializing in selling antique and classic cameras, as well as optics and accessories. LP FOTO started in the late 1950s as Ojas Foto on Rådmansgatan in Stockholm. We also sell modern digital camera equipment, optical instruments, curiosities, and photography-related literature.

We hold three auctions each year with approximately 1,000 lots per auction, and for each club auction, we publish a printed catalog of over 160 pages.

Our History

LP FOTO has a long and solid history dating back to the late 1950s, when the business started as Ojas Foto on Rådmansgatan in Stockholm. In the early 1960s, the store was taken over by Lars Pergert and became LP FOTO. During the mid-1970s, the store was purchased by Roland Persheden.

In 1989, LP FOTO on Rådmansgatan 43 was taken over by Erik Mittag-Leffler, who began focusing on used cameras and optics. Just a few years later, in 1995, the company's auction operations were launched.

By the late 1990s, LP FOTO expanded its premises on Rådmansgatan, first with an additional location at Rådmansgatan 41, and later moving to Rådmansgatan 39, where the business was given larger and more cohesive space.

In 2005, the operation moved to new premises at Regeringsgatan 83, and since July 2019, you can find us at Tulegatan 39.

At the end of 2010, the store was completely closed to focus solely on auctions.
